Painter of icons from Gorj County in XVIII and XIX centuries

The author presents the activity of the iconary painters from the department of Gorj from the XVIIIth century and the XIXth century. They have created true works of art with which they have decorated many churches in this part of the country.
It is also presented the contribution of some painters from Transilvania. These painters have settled in the department of Gorj and have begun to work here.
