După realizarea Unirii Transilvaniei cu România, pretorul Gavril Deac din Hunedoara decide înfiinţarea unui ziar pentru comunicare cu locuitorii preturii. Apariţia ziarului trebuia aprobată de subprefectura judeţului Hunedoara pe baza unor documente stabilite prin legilor în vigoare.Este obţinut un atestat oficios din partea primăriei oraşului Hunedoara care dovedea că solicitanţii sunt cetăţeni români, sunt majori şi nu au fost pedepsiţi pentru vreo faptă. De asemenea, redactorul responsabil şi editorul viitorului ziar trebuiau să se bucure de drepturile politice şi să nu fie în faliment.
Documentele constând din Atestatul oficios şi datele despre ziar, tipografie, redactori sunt înaintate subprefecturii judeţului Hunedoara la data de 25 septembrie 1919. Subprefectul judeţului Hunedoara comunica aprobarea prefecturii, la 6 octombrie 1919, lui Gavril Deac, redactorul responsabil şi editorului Josif Wachter, cu respectarea legilor în vigoare. Dacă ziarul se difuza şi în afara judeţului Hunedoara trebuia cerută aprobarea de la Consiliul Dirigent, Resortul Afacerilor Interne. Ziarul „Glasul Hunedoarei” a militat prin paginile sale la promovarea politicii statului naţional unitar român.
A few Data Regarding the Foundation
of the First Romanian Newspaper from the City of Hunedoara after the Great Union of 1918
Abstract
After the Great Union of Transylvania with Romania, the praetor Gavril Deac from Hunedoara decides to found a newspaper in order to communicate with the inhabitants of this territorial division. The apparition of the newspaper had to be approved by the subprefecture of the Hunedoara County based on a number of documents as established by the laws in force. The Hunedoara City Hall issued a semi-official certificate, which stated that the applicants were Romanian citizens, had attained the age of majority and had not been convicted for any infraction. At the same time, the editor in chief and the publisher of the future newspaper had to fully exercise their political rights and not be bankrupt.
The documents consisting of the semi-official Certificate and information on the newspaper, printing house, and editors, were submitted to the subprefecture of the Hunedoara County on September 25, 1919. The sub-prefect of the Hunedoara County transmitted the approval of the prefecture to Gavril Deac, the editor in chief, and to Josif Wachter, the publisher, on October 6, 1919, according to the law. Should the newspaper be sold outside Hunedoara County, they had to ask for permission from the Governing Council, the Department of Internal Affairs. The Voice of Hunedoara newspaper militated in its pages for the promotion of the policy of a unitary Romanian national state.
